[L]ast night was a double whammy of bizarre torrential rains and the ominous specter of Friday the 13th, yet we still had a terrific turn out of current and new fans of our gourmet tacos!
Sure, today (Saturday) might be all sunny and pleasant outside, but not too long ago in Orange County it was totally a different story. We were at our scheduled stop at the always beautiful and luxurious Park @ Irvine Spectrum where periods of partly sunny skies often gave way to moments of full on downpours.
When we pulled into our parking spot, we also had the thought that not only is the weather going to chase our customers away, but the day on the calendar will probably freak out the superstitious.
So, essentially, we were expecting little or no turnout given these trying conditions. And, boy were we wrong!
So, imagine all of us huddled under our meager little awning with some folks dining on the spot, others ordering their food and yet more picking up their tacos to go. It was like a little tiny community joined together by great food!
We here at SoHo Taco cannot thank everyone enough for stepping out last night. Of course, the night could have been better weather-wise. But, it’s because of folks like you that made the evening absolutely perfect nonetheless.
See you all again … and, hopefully under sunnier, warmer skies!
