Easily one of the most significant landmark events in taco history is taking place next weekend and we have more details.

THE BASICS

In case you haven’t already heard, next Sunday, June 23, 2013, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, both the LA Weekly and venerable food blogger Bill Esparza of Street Gourmet LA will be presenting the first ever Tacolandia.

Taking place in the Hollywood Palladium parking lot, (6215 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA) this epic culinary event dedicated to the humble taco will feature over 30 culinarians personally curated by Esparza himself.  He’s amassed some of the finest taqueros from LA County, Orange County and Baja California, Mexico for this monumental event and we’re one of the vendors!

TICKETS

Ok, now for the bad news: it’s sold out!  With organizers expecting about 1,500 attendees, clearly this event has proven more popular than anticipated.

But, all is not lost.  We’ll be giving away FREE pairs of tickets twice on our Facebook page, two tomorrow Sunday, June 16th and then two more on Thursday, June 20th.  So, be sure to “like” our page today for your chance to win.

MORE DETAILS

For those of you who scored some tickets and, of course, those who are simply curious, here are the latest details on on the event itself to help make your day more enjoyable:

PARKING: Street parking is FREE on Sundays! Naturally, use your discretion and observe all signs, but more likely than not you won’t have to pay a cent.

TRAIN: The Hollywood & Vine Metro station is super close by at 6250 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. At only a 6 minute walk away from the festivities, it’s probably the best way to go and not have to deal with parking.

VENDORS: Currently, you can expect to find the following vendors at the event.  This list is subject to change, so be sure to consult the official site for the most up to date details:
