How did you like that rain? Hopefully Saturday’s little downpour didn’t put too much of a damper on your weekend. On our end all the weddings that were planned went, well, swimmingly. Of course rain is the last thing you want when you’re planning an outdoor wedding but turns out it brought lots people even closer. Well, they had no choice since the tents were rather snug. 😉 But, overall we had a great time helping everyone make the most of things. And, one way we did that was by serving up delectable appetizers. (Come on, you knew this was coming.) But, it’s true! Imagine this yesterday the clouds were leaking all over the place which made wedding photos super challenging and walking around in suits and gowns not ideal. But, once the trays of Rebanada de Uvas and Rebanada de Tomates started floating around the tent under umbrellas, faces started to light up. Folks knew that despite Mother Nature’s plans for the day that things were getting more and more delicious. In case you don’t hablo the espanolo, the word “rebanada” means “slice”. And, in many events yesterday we served up slices of goodness such as vine ripened heirloom tomatoes on one of them and sweet grapes with housemade chili lime peanuts on the other. So, thanks to the recent wet weather folks were only sliding across dance floors they were also sliding some of our best rebanadas into their mouths. We had a great time over the weekend and hopefully you did too. See you soon!
