So, how’s your weekend coming along? It was a bit on the warm side today, but definitely one of the more beautiful days out here in Southern California. As for us, wedding season is in full force. In fact, earlier today we just finished up another promotional event in Garden Grove at the Anaheim Marriott Suites. Were you able to go? We hope so, it was a lot of fun! We had one of our taco carts set up, not working of course (we see you, Mr. Fire Marshall), and served up some of our best appetizers for all the brides, grooms and their loved ones. We also had our sales team on hand to answer any questions that may have popped up and there were plenty! In the end, we made countless connections, fed lots of hungry mouths and hopefully inspired many minds. It was a good time had by all. Speaking of weddings, last night we just catered another beautiful one in the City of Newport Beach at the lovely Environmental Nature Center. Check out this short video showcasing all the fun: Have you ever been there before? It’s awesome. It’s one of the few places in Orange County that not only helps enhance ecological understanding … but promotes marriage vows! Here’s an official description of what they do from their official website:
We’re no strangers to the ENC, in fact we catered several weddings here, sometimes with a taco cart and sometimes with our food truck. It’s a terrific, romantic venue and educational at the same time. For this occasion we had the pleasure of serving up three types of tacos, succulent pollo asado, savory carne asada and flavor-packed al pastor. We had terrific feedback from the guests, so it seems like everyone enjoyed them! One of the remarkable aspects of the evening was our debut of our upgraded bamboo package for the plates, napkins and flatware. This made sense since the venue’s mission is to preserve and educate others on the local ecology, why not serve on something biodegradable? And, that’s exactly what we did. Many of the guest appreciated the ecologically friendly package upgrade, but they were also aesthetically pleasing as well. To help guests customize their own hand-held masterpieces, we also had the opportunity to offer fluffy lemon rice, creamy refried beans and crisp, fresh-made tortilla chips. Our tacos are great on their own, but it’s always a pleasure to round out the meal with some terrific side dishes. It was definitely a treat for us to be back at The ENC and it was truly a pleasure to showcase our new flatware package. Hopefully everyone enjoyed themselves as much as we did serving them and we look forward to returning to this wonderful venue again soon. If you have a special occasion coming up, whether it’s a wedding at the Environmental Nature Center or a simple birthday with loved ones at home, be sure to think of us and drop us a line. And, if you’re looking for a way to help to you part to save the planet, don’t forget to ask about our bamboo package. Mother nature will thank you personally.;) Have a great rest of your Sunday.
