As the old saying goes, “there’s plenty of fish in the sea”. Now, that might not exactly apply to wedding expos, where many of the fish have already been, well, caught. Unless, of course SOHO TACO is in the house!

Yesterday, we had the great pleasure of serving up our red snapper ceviche and much more at one of the hottest wedding expos in Southern California, Bridal Showplace, which took place at the beautiful Anaheim Marriott Suites. And, yes we brought plenty of fish enough to fill up a small sea.

In case you missed it, the other day we blogged that we weren’t going to be able to fire up the grill due to fire codes and something about not making the wedding dresses smell like carne asada…. (like that’s a bad thing?)

No problem!

We had a great time serving up some of our finest appetizers, chips and salsas. We still had the taco cart fully set up, but for only display and demonstration purposes. Our deepest apologies goes out to those trying to look for a serving spoon for the pico de gallo only to be told, “Sorry, that’s just for show.”

It’s all good, we still had plenty of goodies on hand.

For this occasion we had a team of three of our top guys working the appetizers and answer some questions about the food. We also had some event coordinators standing by to answer any questions about our catering packages, so we were definitely fully staffed.

Now, if you missed us last weekend, don’t worry. We have plenty of other bridal expos this year and the next one is this June at the OC Fair and event center. This time it’s organized by the wonderful folks at Bride World, check out our video from when we were there just last Saturday:

As an added bonus, this June we will also be bringing our food truck: LUNCH 10A – 4P Bride World @ OC Fair (88 Fair Drive, Costa Mesa CA). So, while we will still have the non-working taco cart on display inside serving up appetizers like usual. How awesome is that?!

We want to thank everyone who made the special effort to pass by our taco cart yesterday. We certainly hope you enjoyed the appetizers and hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to fire up the grill for you (for real this time) at your upcoming wedding or special event.

And, we would also like to thank the wonderful people at Bridal Showplace as well as the Anaheim Marriott Suites for being such gracious host. The event was an utter success and it wouldn’t have been possible without either of you.
