Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s definitely a bit on the warm side today, so be sure to stay cool and hydrated. And, if you’re looking for something on the lighter side today, may be suggest our monthly special?
In case you haven’t heard, we have a new special this month and it’s selling like crazy, it’s El Tallado ($5.74 each) and it’s only available on our food truck.
Today we have the great pleasure of serving it up twice: LUNCH 11A-2P Homewood Suites, 17370 Red Hill Av, 17370 Red Hill Av #Irvine CA; and, DINNER 5P-8P Residence Inn, 700 W Kimberly Ave, #Placentia CA.
What makes this month’s delicacy especially delightful is that it’s prepared en papillote, that is it’s steamed (technically, not grilled) in it’s own juices and our housemade adobo salsa.
Our expert chefs wrap up the seafood in a foil, garnish it with cilantro and heat it up on top of the grill for only a few minutes. Then, when it’s tender, juicy and easily flakes with a fork it’s ready to be plated.
This technique not helps preserve the New Zealand sea bass’s delicate texture, but it also helps bring it it’s own natural flavors. Not to mention that it makes it even more healthier for you since there aren’t any added oils and less calories. Win Win!!
We’ve had the pleasure of serving up this tasty treat at quite a few stops already and we keep selling out. And, it’s no wonder. It’s light, tasty, flavorful and perfect during a suffocating heatwave.
