Equal parts quaint and romantic, Dove Canyon Courtyard served as a wonderful backdrop for another beautiful wedding in Orange County and we had a terrific time tantalizing palates.
Dove Canyon Courtyard is a beautiful outdoor venue custom made for weddings like the one we catered and other special events. The courtyard is over 17,000 sq. ft. and includes an adorable bridal suite, a hillside cottage that looks like it was ripped out of a fairytale, a cascading waterfall, bubbly fountains, old world cobblestone pavers, a romantic wishing well and a spacious gazebo. At night there are thousands of white twinkle lights overhead and in the trees and blooming roses everywhere. In fact, it even as a magical feel in the atmosphere when the birds were singing overhead.

We are definitely no strangers to this venue located in the heart of Orange County, we have served up several fine feasts here. But each occasion is unique and this one was no exception.
As you can see in the photos and video our taco cart fits snugly under the wooden shelter. We were strategically placed to be part of the action and somewhat the center of attention during cocktail hour.

To help get this started we kicked off the festivities with an impressive line up of our finest appetizers.
Our seafood based Cocteles de Camaron featured succulent shrimp on a skewer and our house made cocktail sauce to help round out the flavors.
The sopitas appetizers are our take on the traditional Mexican sope, but bite sized! We hand make the masa in our kitchen and then stuff it with braised beef.

Another popular appetizer was the Espadillas de Fruta that you see above. These are amazing this time of year since they feature sweet watermelon and ripe mangoes in a traditional chamoy sauce. They’re fantastic for vegans and omnivores alike.

While the appetizers were being devoured by hungry guests, our crew quietly started to assemble the salsas and condiments table.
For this occasion we had our deluxe package which included incredible house made treats such as our creamy salsa de guacamole, sweet pico de gallo and farm fresh onion, cilantro & limes.

Throughout our entire service here at Dove Canyon Courtyard we were preparing all the main taco ingredients by grilling all the courses in front of the guests.
That must’ve been torture! If you can imagine everyone must have been starving at that point and here we were making some of the most aromatic meats and veggies as everyone patiently waited before dinner service.
One of the ways we had mouths watering was this colorfully vibrant grill jam packed with vibrant veggies.

Also on the menu was our savory carne asada, succulent shrimp, excellent spicy potato and much more.
The great thing about the menu was the ability to please all palates, from our vegan friends to our omnivorous buddies we were able to include everyone in the culinary delights of this special occasion.

Soon thereafter the DJ excused the tables one by one to approach the cart and place their orders.
Hungry guests were finally able to try the items that’s been tempting their palates all day long. Many weren’t sure what was on the menu so our friendly crew walked them through their options.
Once they received their plates of piping hot tacos on fresh, hand-pressed tortillas they proceeded to the condiments and salsa bar to dress up their own custom masterpiece.
Needless to say dinner service went exceptionally smooth. Guests received their piping hot plates of hand-held treats and smiles were observed all throughout the courtyard.
We would like to thank the lovely newlyweds for letting us be a part of their special occasion. We know they had several options so it was an honor to have been selected.
