Sunday may have been a day of rest for some, but it was definitely a busy one for us! In addition to the birthday that we helped celebrate in Cerritos we were also at the OC Fairgrounds to help promote our services at the Bride World Expo. And, we had a GREAT time!

Surrounded by some of the most talented wedding and special event vendors from the greater Southern California region, we had two sets of crews on hand last Sunday. One was inside the pavillion on our taco cart and another was just outside grilling up some of our finesta fare on the food truck.

Since fire codes and, well, good sense wouldn’t allow us to fire up the taco cart we brought the food truck with us this time to help prepare the items that needed a little heat, which worked out perfectly.

As guests meandered throughout the aisles visiting one booth to another, some would come across our taco cart inside and they were all in for a treat, literally.

We had a brightly light taco cart showcasing some of our finest salsas, condiments and side dishes, but they were there only for display. But, no problem, we had a terrific line of some of our best appetizers ready for everyone’s enjoyment, such as our Tostaditas de Ceviche, Rebanadas de Tomates Heirloom, Tostaditas de Salmon Ahumado, Chips and salsa and much more!

Of course sitting in front of the taco cart begged the question, “Can I try your tacos?” Of course!

At this event our sales team was on hand to answer any questions guests had, from pricing, logistics, menu options, etc. But, when it came time to actually try one of our tacos they were prepared.

On hand they had several vouchers entitling each bearer to one free taco at the taco truck. Genius, right? So, guests would work up an appetite indoors, score a voucher or two and head outside to the truck to cash in.

And, boy did they cash in! This turned out to be one of the busiest days for our food truck at the OC Fair. We used to be a regular when they had food truck nights on the property a few years back, but we never served as many guests as we did in one night as we did last Sunday.

The lines not only formed to get into the expo, but the lines also formed in front of our truck!

In fact, actually ran out of some key ingredients and we had to call our crew back in the kitchen to bring us more to replenish our stock.

Meanwhile, guests were not only able to try out some of our finest appetizers inside but also enjoy some of our best tacos all served on a fresh, hand-pressed tortillas.

The feedback and the response was tremendous. Nothing but compliments and accolades all around.

We would like to thank everyone who took a few moments out of their busy Sunday to pass by the taco cart or the food truck or both! We understand there were many, many options that day and you decided to spend some time with us, for which we are forever grateful. Hopefully, things work out and we’ll have the opportunity serve you again at your special day.

Also, many, many thanks to both sets of crew on the taco cart and food truck, as well as our sales team that spent the day with us at OC Fair. Your hard work did not go unnoticed and your contributions to the team are invaluable.
