 Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in the City of Irvine. In case you haven’t heard, our gourmet food truck was in rehab for some major repairs which resulted in the unfortunate cancellation of all our events this past week. Well, after a lot of annoying “Is it done yet?” phone calls to our mechanic, we were able to get her released yesterday (Friday) afternoon. And, literally moments after she rolled out of the garage, we put her to work! Recently, we’ve been in contact with LiveNation, the fine folks who help promote and organize events at the world famous Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre. The organizers were hoping we could bring one of our taco catering carts to the VIP section in time for the hotly anticipated Luis Miguel concert. However, OC rules & regulations are super strict at this venue, so that idea was scratched. Then, we heard that our food truck’s repairs were almost finished. Accordingly, what started out as a gourmet taco cart catering event instantly evolved into a food truck one instead! So, we rolled her down to the City of Irvine and situated her right next to the VIP section. From there we grilled up our finest pollo asado and carne asada tacos for the privileged concert goers. And, we had a blast! Check out our pictures:  If you’ve never been to the VIP Section at this place, it’s this exclusive roped off area where hip DJ music, short-lined bar areas and gourmet culinary delights help entertain guests moments before the start of a concert. And, on this particular evening, we were catering for the upper echelon of the Luis Miguel fans. In other words, taco experts! Fortunately, we received nothing but outstanding compliments from everyone and that means a lot from a tough-to-please crowd. First and foremost, we want to apologize to the folks who were expecting us last night at our canceled stop at Laguna Beach High School. We informed organizers there earlier this week that we weren’t sure if we’d be able to make it since repairs were ongoing, so we found a great replacement (thanks Taco Maria!). But, we’ll definitely be there next month on October 19th! Secondly, we’d like to thank everyone at LiveNation for inviting us last night and the fine people of the VIP Section of the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre who helped make an exciting evening more exhilarating!
