| It’s the Monday before the new year with January only a champagne toast away. That means it’s almost time to reveal our next special of the month, which we will gladly do on the day of our first stop of the year this Friday at Bottle Logic. Until then, let us drop a small hint: squid ink tortilla.
The black colored version of this flat bread might not be as common as its yellow or white counterparts, but nowadays you can find it popping up at some of the top Mexican eateries around the country. In fact, we have served this seafood flavored delicacy quite often at our private taco catering events and received tremendous feedback from our clients and their guests. Not only does the squid ink provide a striking visual backdrop, but it also imparts a mild, nutty flavor that wonderfully compliments the ingredients we have in store. Add to that the light fluffiness of being freshly hand-pressed and you’ve got a terrifically unique tortilla. So, stay tuned and prepare yourself for a darker hued treat next month.
