Here at SOHO TACO we’re in the business of making people feel good. We’re in the hospitality industry and that means our specialty is helping others have a great time.

STATE OF HIRING & THE INDUSTRY
Every year around this time we try to fortify our ranks so we’re ready for the upcoming high season, which usually starts at around May.
The past couple of years have been a bit of a challenge, to put it lightly. Many of our events had to be canceled and/or postponed. That made things a bit more of an uphill battle trying to keep our team members on board.
But, slowly and surely our team has been rebuilding and now it’s getting a lot better than when the pandemic first hit.
In case you haven’t heard, our entire industry is still struggling to fill many of the positions that were around before the lockdown and we are no exception. We’ve definitely had our fair share of struggles but we continue to persevere and make it though. And, hopefully we’ll be able to do so with your help!
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR AT SOHO TACO
The position that’s currently in hot demand here at SOHO TACO is a part-time, on call catering cook. Our chefs aren’t only the ones that help prepare the tasty meals that we offer, but they’re also our company ambassadors. They’re the ones that smile for our guests and help make sure everything is to their liking.
For this post, having experience is extremely helpful. So, a culinary education and/or having the know how is definitely important. But, those attributes aren’t there, our team is willing to train and share some knowledge with the candidate.
The great thing about this position is, well, that it’s a lot of fun! Many of our guests are in a great mood, especially if they’re celebrating a wedding or a birthday. A lot of times the gratuity is fantastic, the catering sites are at beautiful venues or homes and it’s always a good time!
On the more administrative side, we’re always accepting applications for our other non-cooking positions such as event coordinator, bookkeeping, marketing and other important office related work. So, there’s something for everyone!
