June 21st marked the first day of summer and that also means it’s aguas frescas time! It’s this time of year when the kitchen has access to an even wider variety of ingredients that just simply tastes better at this time of year.

And, last Thursday evening at our monthly Tasting Night at SOHO TACO HQ we had the great pleasure of debuting several unique, refreshing and absolutely delightful aguas frescas. One of them was the exquisite Lavender Cucumber Lemonade Agua Fresca.

Made with a base of sun ripened lemonade, we also add a the juice & several slices of fresh cucumbers and then infuse the mixture with flowery lavender. The tantalizing concoction was absolutely fantastic!

Every sip was like having a burst of sunshine and the beauty of summer on your palate. The sweetness of the fruits combined with the flavor dimensions imparted by the lavender was something truly unique and delicious at the same time. We aren’t aware of any other location that serves this lovely combination, so we just might have something one-of-a-kind here.

Other selections that we served last Thursday included Lemon Infused Water, Lime Orange Papaya & Coconut, Pineapple & Mint as well as Wild Blueberry Hibiscus Tea Lemonade. It was like an amusement park of refreshments!

The feedback we received that evening was tremendous. One by one guests expressed how wonderful each beverage was on their palates. And, we’re absolutely thrilled at how popular they were!
