[N]ovember 1st marks a significant day in Mexican culture and one that has since transcended international borders. Today is Dia de los Muertos. It is a time to reflect and honor those who are no longer with us but not with sadness nor despair but with celebration and joy. If you’re not familiar with this holiday, it is commonly celebrated by gathering around family and friends, building gorgeous altars in honor of those who have died and decorating abodes with beautiful marigold flowers. This Saturday we are honored and privileged to be able to celebrate this occasion at the Orange County Center for Contemporary Art (“OCCCA”), not too far from the largest Dia De Los Muertos celebration in Orange County called Noche de Altares. We hope you can join us.
