Imagine you’re a guest at a special event like an employee appreciation, a wedding or even a birthday. You’re having a great time, you’re chatting up a storm and then it hits you …. your belly unleashes a audible growl. Uh oh, you feel the hangriness starting to kick in.

So, you ask around and find out when dinner is served and then you realize it isn’t for another hour or so. AN HOUR OR SO!!!

Hopefully, your gracious hosts thought about this scenario ahead of time and ordered some delectable appetizers to tide you over. And, even more important, hopefully they’re being made by SOHO TACO.

In case you haven’t noticed, we have a terrific selection of appetizers to help keep hungry guests from getting murderous and many of them absolutely outstanding.

And, one of our esteemed offerings happens to be our exquisite Cucharada de Esquites, which is featured here in today’s blog. Inspired by the traditional Mexican treat, our version uses the best ingredients and has an eye on aesthetics.

Made with top quality, farm fresh corn on the cob which we lovingly cook and prepare in our kitchen. Then, we cut them off the husk and we mix in the kernels with silky spicy mayo and rich Parmigiano-Reggiano. Then, we serve it up in a beautiful cuchara (or “spoon”) that look almost like elegant stilletos.

To enjoy this hand-held delight, you just lift the disposable spoon up to your mouth and take it all in with one gulp. From there you get a rich, flavorful combination of sweetness from the corn and savory notes from the cheese. It’s absolutely delightful and hope we get to serve it to you soon.
